About Malinda

I’m Malinda Bailey — an Executive Assistant with a background in high-pressure, high-stakes leadership support. I’ve scheduled meetings with attendees across five time zones, planned complex international travel, managed vendors across the globe, and kept leaders calm and focused through all of it.

At Nike, I supported VPs and SVPs in Tech Innovation, Data Science, Global Operations, and Women’s Footwear. I oversaw onboarding for 70+ new hires, managed a team member remotely in Tel Aviv, organized executive workshops with OpenAI and AWS, and helped shape the early framework for Nike’s women’s division.

Now, through Laughing Ducks, I bring that same level of care, precision, and strategic partnership to clients virtually — with fewer meetings, more clarity, and a sense of humor that keeps the work human.

A high-functioning assistant moves smoothly on the surface — and paddles like hell underneath. That’s what I do: keep things looking easy for you, even when it’s not. And I believe work doesn’t have to be boring to be professional.

  • You recently divorced, became widowed, or are just new to technology, and you need help with your home office set-up, and not be intimidated by it.
  • You have a medical condition and you need someone you can trust to schedule/track your medical appointments, medical documents, patient portal, and insurance / doctor billing issues; in complete confidentiality from your business, family, and colleagues. 
  • You are overwhelmed with setting up your home office and need someone patient, kind, and willing to make it fun for you to learn how to manage life in a digital world.

Basic Fee Schedule: 


  • 30 min. intake appointment - Free
  • A la Carte assistance - you assign tasks, I complete them - $300 for the first 3 hours + $55 per hour after*
  • 3 month professional contracts starting at $28,600* (22 hour work week). 
  • In-Person Assistance negotiable **

** In-Person availability on a very limited basis depending on assignment, attendees, location and accommodations 

*** surcharge may apply for extending 3 month contract


Yes!  I am available for both short-term and long-term projects. I am flexible and can work with you for as long as you need.  


Yes!  That is a negotiable option..  I enjoy hosting offsite meetings & events, cozy dinner parties, or event & companionship travel*; however, my availability is limited and will depend on location and (separate) accommodations.  


*strictly business companionship. In-person assistance will be terminated immediately for unwanted advances.  I have a zero tolerance policy*


Since I am not your employee you don't have to worry about paying the state or the federal government taxes, or unemployment insurance, etc. and there are no forms you need to file.  

I am a contract worker and it's up to me to claim my income taxes on a 1099. 

You will be invoiced and receive receipts, so you will be able to claim my services as a business expense for you.
